Join us for a two day event that will showcase Pooler, GA, one of the fastest growing cities in the state of Georgia and some of the finest young men and women in America, our soldiers!
A Free, Friday night, Saturday Festival
Join us on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 5:00pm - 9:30 pm at the Pooler Park off Rogers Street for a great hometown festival. There will be lots of great food, live entertainment, a military tribute program and a wonderful fireworks show! Then come back on Saturday, September 7th from 10:00am - 2:00 pm for a First Responders Showcase sponsored by the Pooler Police Department. The event is FREE and open to the public.
Saturday: The Pooler 5K
The fourth annual race will be Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 8:00 am. The race is open to runners and walkers. Come out and show your support for those who have been wounded, injured or become ill while serving in our military.
The Pooler 5k and Patriot Weekend are efforts that originated with the First Presbyterian Church of Pooler as they sought to meet a real need and be engaged in their community for the sake of the gospel.
The 2012 race had over 600 runners and raised $20,000 for soldiers. Check out the photos from last year to see what it was like.
To pull off this great weekend, we will need sponsors, volunteers and people to help promote the event.
The Warrior Transition Battalion at Ft. Stewart
The proceeds from Festival and 5K race will benefit the Warrior Transition Battalion at Ft. Stewart, the place where wounded, injured and ill soldiers go to heal.
